Why Linta Roofing Doesn't Warranty Minor Roof Repairs
June 12th, 2024 | 2 min read
Are you in need of a roof repair? Do you have questions about the warranties that come with a roof repair from Linta Roofing?
Roof repairs come in all shapes and sizes. When it comes to partial replacements, Linta Roofing will warranty a large section of your roof that is in need of repair. On the other hand, we don’t warranty small repairs like caulking a few nails above a leak. This is because seemingly minor issues are usually signs of a deeper problem, especially on an older roof. A deeper problem that continues to persist, in my experience. As the President of Linta Roofing, I don’t run my business on making a quick buck, but rather on providing the people in my community with comprehensive solutions to their toughest roofing problems.
But if you’re still wondering “why not?”
Let’s talk about it!
Why Linta Roofing Warranties Partial Roof Replacements But Not Minor Repairs
Older roofing systems are more likely to need repairs due to weather damage. And more often than not the obvious issues, like a missing shingle or leaking, tend to be a small symptom of a larger problem. Meaning that a minor repair may not solve the problem you’re having with your roof. It’s fairly common for homeowners to have minor repairs and shortly afterward – a different section of their roof is causing them an issue. And the repairs continue on, costing the homeowner quite a bit of money and further complicating the warranty process, until it’s finally replaced.
Offering warranties for minor repairs can easily confuse a homeowner.
On the other hand, we will warranty partial roof replacements. A partial roof replacement usually includes replacing an entire slope on your roof. We can warranty this type of repair because it is clear whether any issues that arise in that area of your roof are due to our manufacturer's materials or Linta Roofing's workmanship. Not only that, but because minor repairs usually indicate a deeper issue, a partial replacement is a more comprehensive solution for your roofing problem.
What Linta Roofing Will Warranty on Your Roof
Roof repairs bring up a lot of good questions. Often questions associated with the overall durability of your roofing system as a whole. So, it’s normal to be curious about what roof work will come with a warranty and what won’t.
At Linta Roofing we will provide a warranty for both partial roof replacements and full roof replacements, as well as any accessories installed during a full roof replacement.
In terms of minor repairs, I tend to suggest that anything beyond 1 or 2 minor roof repairs in a roof’s lifespan is a sign that you might need either a partial or full roof replacement. This can be determined by scheduling an inspection and allowing one of our Project Managers to do a thorough inspection. After our inspection, we will provide you with all the information you need to determine the next best step for your home. And if you’re curious to know more about our warranty packages on roof replacements, feel free to check out what we have to offer!
